I'd like to see the different styles made into child themes or at the very least a little better support for this feature of Wordpress. It would make customization and upgrading much easier for your customers.

Add standard functionality moving to the next or previous items in the portfolio, so clients don't have to endure the pain of opening and closing one portfolio image at a time when what they really want to do is cycle quickly through lots of images to evaluate if you are what they are looking for.

I love the Portfolio using Quicksand. Maybe you could add the option to create multiple filters, like this guy did?

Ability to able/ disable "medium image" in single post galleries.
